Heyward Manor is a beautiful wedding venue tucked away in the countryside of Iva, South Carolina. The venue perfectly blends classic Southern charm with modern elegance, creating a timeless setting for a wedding day. From the lush green grass to the abundance of beautiful flowers throughout the property, every detail adds to the charm of Heyward Manor. One of unique features of the venue is the stone patio overlooking the large pond, which is a great option for cocktail hour—and, even better, couples have access to a boat on the pond that they can use for photos! It makes for such a fun and unique way to capture a few portraits while taking full advantage of everything this beautiful South Carolina wedding venue has to offer.

This wedding holds such a special place in my heart for two reasons! First, it was my first wedding back after welcoming my sweet baby girl, Azalea, into the world. And second, it was my little brother’s wedding! Getting to step into the role of his wedding photographer was such a unique and special experience, and definitely a career highlight for me. I’m so grateful I got to document such an important day for Calvin and Jocelyn and capture all of the moments they’ll get to look back on for years to come.

Before my brother got married, I had never done a Heyward Manor wedding before, but I absolutely loved the experience!! There are so many amazing wedding venues in the upstate of South Carolina, but this one was definitely a good one for the books.

 

Calvin and Jocelyn’s wedding was such a sweet representation of them as a couple. The day felt elegant and intentional, with classic white florals, gold accents, and a timeless black bridal party, while still feeling relaxed, joyful, and completely true to who they are. From the quiet moments getting ready to the celebration surrounded by their closest family and friends, every part of their day felt meaningful. It was such an honor to document the little in-between moments, the big emotions, and all of the joy that made their wedding day uniquely theirs.
