The details of the Matochas wedding day were just as beautiful as you could imagine! They got married on a beautiful summer day at Judson Mill, which is a stunning wedding venue in Greenville, South Carolina! The bride truly thought of everything, and I loved getting to photograph all the little pieces that made the day feel so special. From her wedding shoes and elegant invitations to her wedding jewelry and soft florals, every detail added to the vintage-modern feel of the day. Her perfume and his cologne were such sweet personal touches, too! I am always excited when I can be creative with the detail photos, and I had so much fun playing with the light and shadows throughout these images. It is always fun to get creative with detail photos and find new ways to capture all the little things that might otherwise go unnoticed!
The morning was filled with so much excitement as the bride and bridesmaids got ready together in their adorable blue-and-white striped pajamas! There was plenty of giggling, getting ready, and enjoying those last few moments together before the ceremony. But some of my favorite moments from the morning were the first looks! The bride shared a sweet and sentimental moment with her dad before seeing her groom, and I know that was such a special memory for both of them. Then it was time for the groom to see his bride for the first time! He was completely in awe of her, and it was so sweet to watch his reaction. These are the moments that make wedding days so special, and I am always so thankful when I get to be there to capture them!
After a morning full of excitement, it was finally time to head to the church! The bride, groom, and their wedding party all hopped on a party bus and made their way to the ceremony. The church was simple and elegant, which made the perfect setting for these two to become husband and wife. There is something so special about watching a couple make that commitment to one another, especially when they are surrounded by so many of the people who love them most. After all the planning and excitement leading up to this day, it was finally time for the two of them to officially start this next chapter together!
The Matochas are married!!!!!!!!!
Okay, these portraits seriously make me think of a Nancy Meyers movie! There is just something about the combination of the vintage-modern details, the romantic setting, and that beautiful early evening light that made these images feel so timeless. After the ceremony, we snuck away with the newlyweds to capture some portraits while the light was just right. I loved watching these two enjoy a little time together after such a busy day! Between the sweet glances and the quiet moments, this part of the evening was definitely one of my favorites. Wedding days can go by SO quickly, so I always love when couples get a few minutes to slow down, enjoy being newlyweds, and take in everything that is happening around them!
Now, if there is one thing these two knew how to do, it was celebrate! The reception kicked off with the newlyweds making their entrance, and from there, the night was full of so much fun. Their first dance was definitely one for the books, especially when the groom picked up his bride and tossed her into the air! How fun is that?! We also had the sweetest father-daughter dance, followed by the cake cutting before everyone joined in on the fun.
And when I say everyone hit the dance floor, I mean EVERYONE! The wedding party and guests were out there dancing with glow sticks, and it was such a fun way to celebrate these two. After a night full of music, laughter, and so much dancing, the bride and groom shared one last dance together in private. I thought this was such a sweet way to end the evening after such a big celebration with all their favorite people. They got one last quiet, romantic moment together before heading out through a shower of bubbles! It was the sweetest ending to such a beautiful day, and I could not imagine a better way for these two to begin their next chapter together!
